Thank you so much guys for a wonderful mother's day, love the roses (my favorite) and chocolates and day of relaxation!! Gotta love it!!

Brittany's Birthday Dinner with Grandpa & Grandma

Grandpa & Grandma invited us to Chuck-a-Rama for Brittany's birthday Saturday night!
They even gave Brittany the embarrassment treatment of asking them to sing Happy Birthday to her in the restaurant!! They gave her a nice summer shirt to wear, and a beautiful heart shaped watch! Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!!
We love you!!

Brittany wanted a bike very badly for her birthday, but was unsure if that would happen. We surprised her by going to Wal-mart to pick up a couple of things, then moseying on over to the bike department, she still had no clue, until we said pick one out, Happy Birthday, Brittany!!
She was soooooooooooo excited!!!

Brittany Turns 14!!

It's hard to believe that Brittany is 14 already!! She says she had a wonderful birthday, even better then she had originally planned. She had a party at the Rec Center park, where she planned to have pizza with her friends and go ice skating afterwards. A few days before we saw on the Rec Center's billboard that they were having an ice show on that day, and so I called to make sure they were still going to have ice skating--and they told me yes, that only the evening ice skating session was being cancelled for the show.

So we go to pay for the ice skating and they tell us that they are not having any ice skating that day!! We were so shocked, and ticked, because I'd specifically called to make sure that wouldn't happen. I explained this to them they just said that one manager decided to keep it open and another one decided to close it--and that manager had the final say. Pretty lame and I personally think they should have offered some sort of consolation--but what can you do. So here we are faced with the dilemma of what to do now! Steve saved the day!! He went and bought each of the kids--teenagers-- a frisbee and a foam rocket to shoot off. They ended up using each other as targets and it looked like they were having a lot of fun! Brittany said that it was even more fun than ice skating would have been! Whew!! She didn't have a disappointing birthday after all!

Brittany opening her present from Jalie Powell, a friend from school. She gave her a special card that said that she still has a journal that Brittany gave her for her birthday, and how it inspired her to do journaling. She got a beautiful necklace with stars on it! Thanks Jalie!!
